Manfred

Manfred

The Story, so far….

Manfred was born in Køge on Sunday 12th February 1995, and baptized in the church at Solrød Strand on 23rd April.

     Quiet, at last.....
Contrary to his two older sisters he quickly learned to crawl, and managed his first steps in December of the same year. Early in 1996 he moved to Bangladesh with the family, enjoying the favourable climate out there, although occasionally getting himself in a bit of trouble….

From Bangladesh he came to Tanzania where he had his first experience with the schooling system, spending 6 months at the Filbert Bayi Primary School
What temple? let's play....      School uniforms

In 2000 he returned to Solrød Strand and attended kindergarten and nursery school at Uglegårdsskolen, until moving to Karise with the family in 2003, where he started primary school.

He is presently attending the 9th grade in Karise School

Over the years he has travelled considerably with the family, both overseas and in Europe….

As most boys in Denmark, he tried his luck as a football , but soon realised that there wouldn't be any great career awaited him. However, in 2009 he discovered his real talent, this being as a sprinter in Track and Field.

Having joined the local club in Køge just a few months earlier, he came on the scene at the 2009 Lyngby Games, posting 3rd places on both 100 and 200m, immidiately creating a name for himself.

Many good results have followed, highlighted by a silver medal in the 60m indoor Danish championship in 2010, and a title as East-Danish champion on 200m, in 2011.

The track-and-field career ended in late 2013, at a time when education became e major focus. However, we all have fond memories of good times in an environment otherwise completely unkmown to us.
